LIFTING OUR YOUTH AS THEY CLIMB:

This program is designed to prepare our youth for the future. It exposes young men and women to positive role models while emphasizing the importance of higher education. The program targets high school students in 9th-12th grade. This is a one-day program in which students attend a series of educational and inspirational workshops on topics such as: Self-Esteem/Self Respect, Drug Awareness, College Preparation/Study Skills and Relationships/Sex. These workshops are facilitated by OSU faculty and Columbus City School administrators. Other activities throughout the program include: educational games/prizes and educational presentations (i.e. dramatic presentations-poetry). This program is held at The Frank W. Hale Jr., Black Cultural Center.
